In the Beginning
Terry Neason was born in Glasgow, and began her performing career with two of Scotland’s top companies: 7:84 Theatre Company and Wildcat Stage Productions for about 10 years.
Terry's professional journey then took her into the business of managing her own company, Wee One Productions, for fifteen years. The Wee One Team produced shows for corporate events and theatre, playing to audiences from Europe to the USA and from Canada to Singapore.
Terry says "Playing the Edinburgh Fringe, with long standing friend and Musical Director, Brian Prentice, was very successful for us and we were thrilled to receive numerous 5 star reviews. Jings! I even managed to pick up a Herald Angel Award. It sits in my loo...well, it's a captive audience in there, after all. (I think Brian tried to pinch it a couple of times.)
Terry hosted her own six-part television series of chat, music and comedy for STV, called The Terry Neason Show.
Other past show highlights include playing Edith Piaf in Piaf at the King’s Theatre, Glasgow, and the lead in Jacque Brel’s Alive and Well and Living in Paris at the Gate Theatre, Dublin. Songs of Dory Previn in Children of Coincidence at the Gaiety Theatre, Dublin. Played Anna opposite Ian McDiarmid in The Government Inspector at the Almeida, London; Meg Dillon in The Hostage, directed by Jim Sheridan, Eire; and Top Dog with Paul O’Grady in Cell Block H, The Musical in London’s West End.
